Creative City është themeluar në vitin 2004 nga një grupim qytetarësh dhe si e tillë ka vijuar punën deri në vitin 2008. Anëtarët e themelimit të grupimit “Creative City” ishin: Valbona Karakaci (pedagoge), Ledia Dushi (poete), Zef Coba (muzikolog), Zef Cuni (arkitekt), Edmond Angoni (artist, prodhues maskash), Armando Lohja (manaxher kulture). Perzgjedhja e ketij grupimi u be nga SDC dhe Pro Helvetia nen mbikqyrjen e ideatorit te “Qyteteve Krijuese” z.Charles Landry.Creative City, ka zhvilluar veprimtarine e saj me fonde te qeverise Zvicerane te levruara permes SDC/se dhe Pro Helvetias Tirane nga viti 2004 e deri ne vitin 2008 ku zhvilloi nje veprimtari kulturore teper te gjere ne Shkoder.

Grupimi “Creative City” u shndërrua në shoqatë të mirëfilltë ligjore duke mbajtur të njëjtin emër dhe duke zgjeruar gamën e shërbimeve dhe të veprimtarisë, në vitin 2009 ku u njoh nga Gjykata e Tiranës. Ne jemi të regjistruar në organet tatimore të qytetit Shkodër (përfshi NIPT)  sipas të gjithave dispozitave ligjore në fuqi, përfshi zyrën e punës dhe sigurimet.


Sllogan:
Shoqata ynë ka funksionuar nën sloganin: “Transformojmë komunitete përmes kulturës” duke e shndërruar atë më vonë në: “Publicity, Events, Culture fushatat qytetare promovuese e ndërgjegjësuese". Filozofia e Creative City eshte: ""Nëse qytetet po lulezojnë ato duhet të jenë një model për nga mënyra sesi janë duke e menaxhuar plotësisht talentin dhe kreativitetit e  banorëve dhe bizneseve të tyre".


Ç`farë bëjmë ne?

Shoqata “Creative City” vazhdon veprimtarinë dhe funksionimin e saj me destinacion: aktivitetet artistike e kulturore, fushata promocionale e ndërgjegjësuese, promovime e guida turistike, planifikim dhe manaxhim aktivitetesh te ndryshme social-kulturore, në funksion të shndërrimeve në qytet. Shoqata "Creative City" karakterizohet nga të qenurit një organizëm i hapur me mediat, pushtetin lokal dhe komunitetin në tëresi, dhe si rrjedhojë ne kemi një numër të madh partnerësh (Creative City Partner`s) me te cilet kemi bashkepunuar ngushte ne realizimin e gjithe veprimtarise. Shoqata e jonë është specializuar në planifikimin dhe manaxhimin e aktiviteteve publike, veprimtarive sociale e kulturore, konferencave, planifikim dhe manaxhim eventesh etj. Creative City gëzon reputacion dhe emër të mirë në qytet dhe jashtë tij. Ne kemi një staf të trajnuar e profesional duke përfshirë këtu dhe rrejtin e vullnetarëve dhe miqvë (Creative City friends).

CreativeCity was found in 2004 by a group of citizens and it has continued its work as such until 2009. The founding members of the “Creative City” group were: Valbona Karakaci (professor and culture herritage), Ledia Dushi (poet), Zef Coba (musician), Zef Cuni (architect), Edmond Angoni (artist, mask producer) and Armando Lohja (culture manager). The selection of this group was made by SDC and Pro Helvetia under the observation of the author of “Creative Cities” Mr. Charles Landry. Creative City has performed its activity with funds of the Swiss government allocated through SDC and Pro Helvetia Tirana from 2004 to 2008 during which it held a wide cultural activity in Shkoder.
Among them we can mention: The revitalization of “gala with masks” evenings and the carnival, the colouring and painting of facades, the creative coffees with citizens of different profiles and professions with the purpose of sharing the philosophy of “creative cities”, the distribution of creative prices (every New Year Eve), the international days of the book, the opening of different tourist seasons (Razëm, Shirokë, Velipojë etc), the intervention in the Shiroka center (the reconstruction of the handrails along the lake side), the preparation and the installation of exhibits in the historical museum with the purpose of promoting the ethnographical values of Shkodra, the preparation and the installation of exhibits in the hall of the municipality of Shkodra with the purpose of introducing the history of the mayors of the municipality along the years, the publication of the album “from tradition to future” with characteristic clothes styled and brought in time, the day of the Vespas, the postcards with Marubi photos, musical evenings with the theme “transmitting of worldwide known opera” for the public of Shkodra in Millennium Cinema under the management of the composer Zef Çoba, the creation of an electronic database with different addresses and e-mails collected in the group This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it realizing in this way the quick sharing of information for cultural events in Shkodra, the creation of the web-page www.infoshkodra.com  etc.The “Creative City” group was transformed into a legal NGO keeping the same name and widening the context of services and activities in 2004 time when it was acknowledged by the Tirana District Court. We are registered in the Tax Office of the city of Shkodra (including NIPT) according to all the legal provisions in power, including the Labour Office and the Social Insurance.The Slogan of Creative City:  Our NGO has functioned under the slogan: “Transforming communities through cultures” changing it later to: “Publicity, Events, Culture promoting and awareness raising civic campaigns ". The philosophy of Creative City is: "If cities are prospering they must be o model by the way they are fully managing the talent and the creativity of its citizens and businesses". Latest slogan: Event planning & Management.
What do we do? The NGO “Creative City” continues its activity and functioning towards the destination: artistic and cultural activities, promotional and awareness-raising campaigns, promotions and tourist guides, planning and managing of different social-cultural activities with the purpose of transforming cities. The NGO "Creative City" is characterized of being an open organism for the media, local government and the community as a whole, and as a result we have a high number of partners (Creative City Partner`s) with whom we have collaborated closely in the performance of all the activities. Our NGO is specialized in the planning    and the management of public activities, social and cultural activities, conferences, planning and management of events etc. Creative City has a well-known reputation in the city and outside it. We have a trained and professional staff including here the network of volunteers and friends (Creative City friends).


Our objective is based on the book "The Art of City Making" of Mr. Charles Landry which in Albanian is translated “Arti i Berjes se Qytetit” (September 2006). It focuses on the idea how a city can be more creative for the world. It says that the energy of the individuals and companies can be more responsible in the making of a city. The philosophy of this book shows how a city of the future can be formed by giving attention to the culture and the past of the country.
The philosophy of Creative City: The creation of cities has always been the essence of culture and civilization as a creator and distributor of the richness. Cities today are facing great challenges. More than half of the world population now lives in cities and numbers are going higher rapidly. This is accompanied by problematic infrastructures, economical and social difficulties, thus, essentially, dramatic changes are developing. "If cities are prospering the way they are managing the talent of the people and the businesses must be a model". This text is a call for action for the development of urban life and a golden detailed tool based on methods with which our cities can be revived and revitalized. By presenting case studies and examples of urban innovations from the whole world, it analyses crucial steps and tells us how to think, plan, and act creatively in the treatment of urban issues, and how to apply these methods in every city.
