TERRITORIES

Point) 

1. Context
      This International Seminar is an initiative
of the Youth Info
Point of Frómista Village Council, Castilla y
Leon, Spain. 

   The Youth Information is an important concern
for young people in
this territory.  The emigration, the aged
population, the existence
of very small villages (< 500 inhabitants), and
the little youth
population cause that youth is key objetive for
the Local and
Regional Administration and Government. Castilla
y León is a region
with this problem in all rural territory.
   Our rural world has several Youth Information
Services in small
villages ( 1000 to 3.000 inhabitants) , with
other services for  near
territory.  Really it's an underprivileged
territory for young people
that have inequality of opportunities in relation
to the urban world.
They are few technicians and the work is
difficult but we are working
hard with our young people and our small 
villages.
2.  Objectives
. To know work experiences in youth information
in similar
demographic realities..
- To exchange best practices.
-  To study possibilities of future collaboration
between our
villages within the Youth Program and other
possibilities
(networking, web pages…)
-To use Europe as a tool in our work and extend
English as vehicle of
communication.
4. Schedule
Every organisation participant will have to come
to the
seminary with a presentation in English
(PowerPoint...) about its
aims and objectives that will give an easy
understanding for the
introduction and first works. There will be a
service of translation
from English to Spanish
5. Profile of participants
           - Youth workers in youth information
services in rural
areas of small villages.
           -  Youth workers in public
administrations dealing with
youth information (centres, points, offices,
antennas…) in rural
areas.
Which working language?
English
6.- Application & Selection:
We will apply to Youth Programme  1st  April   or 
1st June   2006.
70% of travel costs and hosting costs
(accommodation, food, program
activities, local transport) will be covered by
Youth Programme
