We have invited 34 artists to our International
Artist residencies, Csopak,
Hungary in three section from May 22- August 10,
2006.  The closing
exhibition will be at the Congress Center,
Balatonfured, opening reception
and remarks will be presented by Mark Tauber,
Culture Attaché, Embassy of
the United States of America, Budapest and Dr.
Katalin Geller, art historian,
Hungarian Science Academy, Budapest on August 8,
at 6:00 p.m.  On August
8-10 will be a FilmFest at the Congress Center
movie theater.  Please come!

We will publish a DVD catalogue this year that
will document the HMC's
artists residencies, works from the artists,
artist statements and contact info.

Also, a short article has published in the
Californiai Magyarsag newspaper in
March.
International Artist Residencies, Csopak
The HMC has founded in 1990 by Beata Szechy, she
has organized the first
residency in Hungary for young international
artists in 1995.  The end of the
residencies' exhibition was held from the donated
works at Lake Balaton, and
every 2nd,3rd years an exhibition was organized
in Budapest.  Last summer
23 artists exhibited their work:

There are happy life in Balatonfured and Csopak,
the surrounding area is a
prefect place to relax and create.  The
evaluation of the artists about the
residencies are very positive.

Nemzetkozi Muvesztelep Csopakon

A HMC 1990-ben alakult meg.  Alapitoja es
Igazgatoja Szechy Beata, aki az
elso muvesztelepet 1995-ben szervezte meg
Magyarorszagon fiatal
nemzetkozi muveszek reszere.  Minden muvesztelep
vegen, helyi kiallitason
mutatjak be a telepen keszult munkakat, minden
masodik es harmadik evben
pedig egy osszesito kiallitast rendeznek.  A mult
nyar juniusatol

muveszek sikert-sikerre arattak. 
A ket muvesztelepnek komoly rangja van, annak
ellenere, hogy olykor a nyari
szelsoseges idojaras nem kedvez a furdozoknek,
azonban a balatoni
kornyezet oly sok szepet nyujt az alkotoknak,
amely mindent potol.  A
muveszektol a visszajelzesek igen jok.  A tavasz
bekoszontevel szepitik a
muvesztelepeket az ujabb nemzetkozi taborlakok
fogadasara.
