EVS placements in Romania starting

Life Youth Foundation is looking for 3 EVS volunteers for its project Get involved youth – HEI - 2005-RO-11

The placements are available starting with January 2008 for volunteers interested to be active between 9 to 12 months.

The project is taken place in a training and consultancy organization (Association for Consultancy and Training – ACT, http://www.act.org.ro) with many diverse projects and provides excellent opportunity for young people to develop many abilities like:

* The volunteer will help in gathering the necessary informations from the Internet in order to create a virtual library, and also help in the development of it by always keeping it updated

* The volunteer will help in the development of the training materials on Youth Work topics

* The volunteer will help us being a support staff in the preparation and organization of training courses, seminars and workshops

* The volunteer will also support us in editing bulletins and publications for a website on human rights

* The volunteer will be trained in preparing, implementing and evaluating training projects

We are looking for:

      Young person age between 18 – 30 years
    *

      Resident from one of the following countries : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Montenegro, Serbia

If you are interested in this opportunity, taking into consideration the fact, that we want to apply for the 1st September deadline, you have to do the following things:

   1.

      Send us your Curriculum Vitae (be sure to include phone numbers where we can contact you in case you are selected) and Motivation letter in English till 5th of August. Motivation letter should provide answers to the following questions :

          o

            Why you want to be a volunteer?
          o

            Why do you want this project?
          o

            How your participation in this project will help in your professional development?
          o

            What do you expect to learn from being a volunteer?
          o

            For how long you are able to be volunteer and starting from when?

Please be explicit and give concrete examples when appropriate.

   2.

      Look for sending organization in your home country who is ACREDITATED by National Agency of your country. If your Sending organization is not yet accredited by the National Agency for sending the EVS volunteers then sending organization needs to start the accreditation process as soon as possible. For applicants coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav, Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Montenegro, Serbia the sending organization needs to be accredited by SALTO South East Europe Resource Center - http://www.salto-youth.net/contactpoints/

Till the 10th of the August we will inform all the applicants about the results of selection process.
