Summer Russian Language School 2006

Petrozavodsk State University is the largest
classical university in
the North-West of Russia. PetrSU plays a leading
role among higher
institutions of education in the European North
of Russia. PetrSU
enjoys a high reputation for its excellent and
highly qualified staff,
which numbers about 700. The university has 15
000 students.
Petrozavodsk is a calm and safe town with Russian
charm. It is located
on Onega lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in
Europe. You will
have a chance to see a lot of cultural
masterpieces in the North of
Russia such as Kizhi churches, Valaam and
Solovetskiy monasteries and
beautiful sceneries. You will study Russian in
friendly atmosphere and
get acquainted with Russian students.
Programs for International students:
We offer 2, 4, 8, 12 week programs since June 5
till August 25.

traditions and social
life. Cultural program is the optional.

on the island Kizhi
• Trip to city Sortavala and Valaam monastery
• Cultural trip to St. Petersburg and its
suburbs: Petergof and
Pushkin
• Cultural trip to Moscow and Kremlin
• Cultural trip to Solovetskij islands in the
White Sea
