Applying for projects for 2008
Here you will find the necessary documents to use for applying for project support from the Palme Center. Organisations (NGO:s) based in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and Albania can apply for funding from the Palme Center.
The Palme Center strategy
Any project supported by the Palme Center, will need to relate to the Palme Center’s Balkan strategy.
Projects should contribute to one of two overall goals:
1. Citizens participate in decision making
2. CSOs and local administrations are able to fully benefit from and participate in the process of EU accession

Application documents
The first step in the application process is to submit a 1-2 page concept paper to the Palme Center. The main purpose of this concept paper is to present the vision and mission of the applicant organisation and an idea of planned activities/project. The deadline for submission of the concept paper is the 1st of June 2007.
The organisations that can be eligible for support from the Palme Center are then asked to develop their project ideas following the format for full applications. The deadline for submission of full applications is the 1st of August 2007.
The Palme Center will make an effort to meet with and communicate with applicant organisations between the submission of concept papers and the submission of the final application.
Please note that the Palme Center will not accept applications which do not follow the formats below.
General conditions for Development cooperation
Below please find guiding documents relating to the Palme Center’s work with civil society organisations. They include the general conditions for development cooperation with funding from Sida and the Sida policy on civil society. The Palme Center Code of Conduct should be respected in all work carried out in cooperation with the Palme Center.
