The University of Augsburg and the Swabian
Academy Irsee invite 
artists and eligible non professionals
specializing in various 
artistic genres to the 19th Summer Academy
"Experience Art".  We 
invite especially younger artists, art- students
from all 
disciplines countries to meet here (national and
more and more
international) adepts of contemporary arts. To
make this easier, we

The summer academy will take place in the former
Monastery Cloiser
Irsee from July 29th to August 6th. The main
focus of this art summer
is placed on top-class courses dealing with
different artistic
disciplines - visual arts, architecture, music,
literature, dance,
acting etc. The courses offer intensive work
activities in small
groups with renowned artists.  This year we
offer the following
courses:
 
•    Painting with Sighard Gille
•    Sculpture with Taft Green
•    Painting with Dieter Mammel
•    Large-format painting with Manfred Vogel
•    Experimental printing techniques with Berit
Myrebøe
•    Photography with Beate Passow
•    Lyric poetry with Uwe Kolbe
•    John Cage with Steffen Schleiermacher
•    Choir with Tanja Schubert
•    Contemporary dance with Jochen Heckmann
 
The intensive artistic work in the courses will
be accompanied by
exhibitions, midday conversations with artists,
and evening 
workshops. By doing so, the summer academy aims
to help the 
participants exchange ideas with one another
beyond the boundaries 
of their artistic genres and allow them to
experience art in its 
different forms of expression. The courses,
inspiring conversations, 
and social activities make the week an
unforgettable social and
